When photographing magnificent landscapes, one often finds it difficult to change the camera setting to monochrome (black and white), fearing the loss of color will diminish the intended emotion of the photograph.
It's been said that this photograph of Saint Mary Lake is reminiscent of an archive picture from long ago when Glacier National Park was in its early years when ladies and gentlemen dressed in their Sunday best when visiting the park.
